To see an evangelical church in every multicultural neighborhood of Strasbourg that seeks and embodies the reconciliation of all things and people in Christ.
Church Planting
Eight years ago ten of the fifteen neighborhoods in Strasbourg did not have a gospel preaching church. In 2014, a French pastor, Arnaud, gave the vision to plant one church in every neighborhood in Strasbourg, starting with the Krutenau neighborhood that was filled with students and young professionals. They launched the church in 2015, along with a cafe aimed at connecting students and young professionals with the church.
A few years later the church had grown, and was ready to plant a second church in the train station neighborhood. I have had the great joy of being a part of this second church planting team for the last four years.
The train station neighborhood of Strasbourg, called the ‘Quartier Gare’. Quartier Gare is home to people from over 67 different countries, and is a key hub for migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers in the city. Our team planted a church in the neighborhood in October 2018. We started with ten people meeting in a living room, and have grown to up to 70 people on a given Sunday!

Refugee Ministry
Platform 67 is a coffee shop and community center serving the migrant and refugee community of Strasbourg. Our space holds a coffee shop to provide job training opportunities for refugees, a classroom and activity space, and hosts the church. The community center has three main goals:

- Integration: Provide support to migrant families through translation, administrative support, language classes, after school homework help, and cultural workshops.
- Contribution: Provide a gathering place for those far from their home support systems where they can give back to the community and create new community ties.
- Restoration: Provide spiritual support, counseling services, medical assistance, and a compassionate ear to families in need.

My Story
Over the last decade I have developed a passion for bridging cultural and communication divides. As a language teacher, translator, interpreter, and small business owner, I love helping connect people!
I am a native Texas with a love of counseling. After completing a 22 week training course, I became a Biblical Lay Counselor at my home church. I was connected with an organization in France, Perspectives, that is passionate about church planting and serving those in multicultural contexts.
I moved to France in December of 2019 to work full time in ministry in Strasbourg.

Why France?
The country of France, though it has a long catholic history, is proudly secular. Only about 1.2% of the population is evangelical Christian. France, like many European countries, has also been flooded with a wave of migrants and refugees over the past few years. This makes it an ideal location to bring God’s love to the marginalized in concrete and practical ways.
Strasbourg has a distinct lack of gospel preaching churches. It is divided into about fifteen different neighborhoods. Only five or six of those neighborhoods currently have a gospel-preaching church. Many of those neighborhoods have a large migrant and refugee population. There is a huge need for Christians to support the marginalized by meeting their practical, emotional and spiritual needs.
